Reviews and Ratings
The hotel's rooms felt like a fridge. They are smaller than the one I stayed in, but I later found out it's the largest room in the hotel. Despite the size, my room had a great view of the Roman Forum. The service at the hotel was mixed – they did have our requests recorded but hadn't bothered to acknowledge them until we arrived. On a positive note, the staff did return the 60 Euro owed to me, plus the cost of the cab ride, which was a nice touch. The location is superb, very close to the Colosseum and Roman Forum, making it easy to explore these historical sites on foot. The dining experience was average at best, with simple cold cuts and bread, though the view of the Roman Forum and Basilica of Maxentius was lovely. Overall, the facilities were decent, but I wish they matched the high level of service. For the price, this hotel offers good value for its prime location near major attractions.
The Hotel de Rome offers a mixed experience with clean and comfortable rooms but a somewhat limited dining selection. The location is superb, right near iconic landmarks, though rooms may feel small due to design issues.
I had a mixed experience at this centrally located hotel near the Coliseum. The rooms felt like a fridge, being spacious 'superior rooms' but overlooking the noisy main road. Despite the cleanliness, the constant noise made it impossible to open the window. The service was friendly and approachable, although some requests were ignored until our arrival. The location was fantastic for exploring ancient Rome, but the dining options were average at best.
The hotel is a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, while modern and sleek with comfortable beds, are affected by constant noise from the main road, making it impossible to open the windows. The air conditioning, however, provides a welcome relief in the heat of Roma. On the downside, the room was quite dark due to only two small bedside lights working.
My stay at the hotel was truly amazing. The room I booked was very tidy; it was spacious, recently redecorated, and offered a nice view towards the Monumento Vittorio Emanuele II and Forum Romanum, all at a fair price. It was spotless, thanks to Gabriella, the lovely maid who was so polite and nice to me. The service was above average, with incredible front desk assistance from Sara. The location was exceptional, just across the road from the Colosseum and very near other attractions like the Arch of Constantine. The dining experience, although simple, was satisfying. The facilities met my expectations and added value to my stay.
My stay at the hotel was a fantastic experience. The rooms, while smaller than expected, turned out to be very comfortable, spacey, and exceptionally clean, especially with a surprisingly large bathroom. The modern and clean design added a nice touch to the overall ambiance.
The hotel room was tidy, spacious, recently redecorated with a nice view towards the Monumento Vittorio Emanuele II and Forum Romanum. However, the noise from the main road prevented opening the windows, but the cleaning ladies were diligent. The service was above average, especially by the friendly and helpful opera singing waiter. The location is perfect for exploring the historic sites, right next to the Colosseum and near the Area of Venice. The dining experience was enjoyable, with Mediterranean food served on the rooftop terrace with breathtaking views. The facilities offered were satisfactory.
The hotel had small but very comfortable and spotless rooms and provided a clean, quiet, and comfortable stay for a group of four. The service was outstanding, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. The location was excellent, right between key attractions like the Wedding Cake and the Colosseum. The dining experience offered ample choices and a great view, while the facilities were well-maintained.
I had a cozy and immaculate room, albeit a bit small, at the hotel. The service was exceptional, especially at the front desk with Sara going above and beyond. The location next to the Coliseum was a real treat, making it easy to reach the major sites. The dining experience was reasonable, and the facilities were great.
I was pleasantly surprised by the rooms, which exceeded our expectations with a king-size bed, sofa, two chairs, end tables, desk with Television and telephone. However, the constant noise from the main road prevented us from opening the window. The hotel's service, although initially unnoticed, turned out to be helpful and friendly. The location was superb, just across the road from the Colosseum and near other key ancient Rome attractions. Dining on the rooftop was a treat with a nice view of Piazza Venezzia, but the food was only average. The facilities were satisfactory overall.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were spacious with large windows that let in natural light, but they felt stuffy and outdated. The service was outstanding, with staff going above and beyond, though I wished for a bit more proactiveness. The location was fantastic, within walking distance of must-see areas, but the interior needs a significant overhaul. The dining was reasonable but nothing exceptional. I found the facilities to be up to standard, but there is room for improvement to match the price.
My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The rooms were clean but somewhat cramped, and the lovely maid Gabriella made sure everything was spotless. The service was quite helpful and courteous, providing useful tips for exploring the city. The location was convenient for walking to the Coliseum and other attractions, but the room was a bit dark with limited lighting. The dining experience on the rooftop was wonderful, offering a great view of the city. The facilities were adequate and comfortable, but the price was a bit on the pricey side for Rome.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were tidy, spacious, and had a nice view of the Monumento Vittorio Emanuele II and Forum Romanum, but they lacked proper lighting and the door had issues. The service was above average but left me wishing for a better hotel to match. The location was excellent for exploring, with great views of the surrounding area but had some taxi cost issues. The dining experience was pleasant overall. The facilities were satisfactory.
The hotel was adequate, offering clean, comfortable, and tidy rooms. While not quite meeting the expected standard due to the absence of a bathroom and shower, the overall stay was satisfactory. The service was commendable, with super friendly and helpful staff making the best of the situation. The location was very convenient, ideally situated between key attractions like the Wedding Cake and the Colosseum. Despite the lack of certain amenities, the hotel staff's excellent service compensated for the shortcomings.
I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The rooms were spotless thanks to the lovely maid named Gabriella, who was so polite and nice to me. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were quiet, and the design was modern and sleek. However, there was a bit of noise that could be heard.
